A MOTHER of two from Hook has organised a family fun day to raise money for an ‘amazing’ local charity.

Carolynne Green’s daughter Chloe is a member of Pembrokeshire Sibling Group (PSG), a local support group for siblings of children with a disability, serious illness or special needs.

PSG was set up 15 years ago and offers activity workshops and resisdential trips to children and young people under 18 to give them and their families respite.

It also runs a drop-in club where children can share similar experiences, and have fun just being themselves.

Carolynne’s 12-year-old son Iwan has Asperger syndrome and Tourette’s,and she says PSG has been invaluable to Chloe.

“They have been amazing for her so I decided to organise a day to raise money for the group.”

On Sunday, July 14th, there will be a family fun day at Haverfordwest Rugby Club, to raise money for PSG.

From 1pm, there will be inflatables, a birds of prey display, an assault course, face painting, tombola, fancy dress competitions, a silent auction, and more.

Little Stars Children’s Entertainers will be providing entertainment and a disco, and Unison Dance Group will also be performing.

There will also be a variety of cake, craft, balloon and toy stalls, with more stalls available at £5 each.

Sponsors for the day are G&G Paintworks, Milford Haven, Meadow Carpets, Talbot Timber, Pine Directory, Freystrop, and Caddies Cafe. There will also be a barbecue courtesy of Trehearne Farm in St Davids.

“The group is at threat of closing if they don't get the funds to enable them to support their members, and I would hate for that to happen as Chloe loves being part of it,” said Carolynne.
