SOME of the biggest and best blockbuster films of the year are heading to Torch Theatre screen this summer.

Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation, Fantastic Four and The Man From U.N.C.L.E are all hitting Milford's cinema as soon as they are released.

Ethan Hunt and the Impossible Missions Force return for Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation which opens today and runs to August 13.

The team find themselves being hunted by the Syndicate, an 'anti-IMF' which the CIA doesn't believe exists. With the head of the CIA threatening to close down the Force, Hunt must reassemble his team for what may be their final mission: to prove that the Syndicate's network of assassins and rogue operatives is real, and to destroy it before it kills them first.

In Fantastic Four (running from August 6 to 14), four young scientists attempt to travel to an alternate universe but the experiment goes wrong and they are granted amazing new abilities, becoming the superhero team.

Reed Richards becomes able to stretch his limbs huge distances; Johnny Storm can set himself on fire; his sister Susan can turn invisible and project forcefields; and their friend Ben Grimm's flesh is transformed into rock. They must use their new powers to defeat evil hacker Victor Domashev.

And The Man From U.N.C.L.E., directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Henry Cavill and Hugh Grant, is set in 1963 when the U.S. and Russia are engaged in the political minefield that is the Cold War.

Napoleon Solo is one of the C.I.A.’s top men, who meets his match in the form of KGB agent, Illya Kuryakin. Under other circumstances, a showdown between these two would be explosive, but a new threat has emerged that forces them to work together.

As the American and the Russian attempt to forge an alliance, the nuclear threat grows stronger, and the mysterious organisation behind it seems almost unstoppable. Napoleon and Illya’s only hope is a German scientist, whose knowledge can help them save the world from catastrophe, but first, they have to find him.

The film can be seen at the Torch on August 14 and 15.

Artistic co-ordinator Michael Davies who programmes The Torch’s cinema, said: "We are very excited to be premiering some of the biggest and best blockbuster films in the coming months.
