AFTER raising more than £200 for the Paul Sartori Foundation with their last floor-filling night, Substantial Sound returns to Haverfordwest this weekend.

Dubbed the 'Party Starter', headliner Mr K is has performed alongside international artists such as Aim, Krafty Kuts, A-Skills, Plump DJs, Dub Pistols, Kathika Rabbit, Jinx in dub, Father Funk to name just a few.

Currently resident DJ with Monster Monster club night and making guest appearances around the UK, Mr K's eclectic mix of Reggae, Dub, Breaks, Beats, Drum and Bass and Jungle celebrates all that's good about the underground music scheme.

Originating out of the 90s music scene, and influenced by the pulse of the Madchester movement, Mr K is well-known locally for playing packed-out nights such as the Aquarian Party, Funk Dub, the Parrot, and the recent Dub Pistols gig.

The rave scene was also an inspiration for Paco, who will be dusting off a selection of mid-90s jungle classics.

Back from hiatus with fresh tracks for 2016, Paco has played all over Wales and been played on Radio 1, Rinse FM and Jungletrain.net.

Also on the line-up is event co-organiser Him Again, aka Derren Heath, who will be playing a mixture of broken beats.

A seasoned live performer, for club nights Derren swaps his thoughtful songwriting style for breakbeats and drum and bass that show a real sense of humour.

And 'rekindling their funky flame' after several years apart will be Tommy B and Ra Kim.

The pair plan to play an eclectic two-hour set filled with funk-filled beats with a hip-hop leaning.

Substantial Sound is at Club Rio, Quay Street, Haverfordwest, this Friday (March 11) from 10pm to 3am. Entry is £4.
