A Newport photographer whose calendar raised over £500 for a local school is holding an exhibition at the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority’s Newport Visitor Centre.

John Fennessy of Perfect Place Pictures will be show casing his work which features the stunning landscape in and around the Newport area.

John set up Perfect Place Pictures last September after his photographs received rave reviews online.

He said: “I’ve always been a keen amateur photographer and it was a case of people commenting on photographs that I’d shared on Facebook, saying ‘Wow you should sell these’, so I thought I’d put them into different formats for people to appreciate and enjoy.”

He dedicated his 2016 calendar, which featured images of the Newport area, to Ysgol Bro Ingli. He raised £500 for the school through this.

The Perfect Place Pictures exhibition will be on display and available to buy at the Newport National Park Visitor Centre until Saturday, April 30.

The Visitor Centre is open 10am-5.30pm Monday to Saturday.
