Fishguard Sea cadets are holding a comedy hypnotist night this weekend as part of their efforts to raise money for a minibus.

The 60 cadets, aged between ten and 17, need a minibus to go to the National Rowing Regatta in London, after they recently won the Area Regatta Competition held in Bristol.

The youngsters have already raised over £1,800 after their gruelling 24 hour sponsored row on Friday, July 1st.

Nicola Brooks, Chairman of the Fundraising Committee said:"They’ve all done a fantastic job so far and we’re all really proud of them. We’ve still got a fair way to go until we reach our target though."

The Sea Cadets need to raise £8,000 more to reach their target.

The comedy hypnotist night will be held at Letterston Memorial Hall on Saturday, July 23rd with doors open from 7.30pm. Tickets are £7.50 for adults and £5 for under 16s. No entry for children aged under nine.
