The Span Arts carnival themed Xmas Bonanza rolls into the Queens Hall, Narberth, tonight (Friday), and promises to be jam packed with revelry, great music and festive fun.

This year’s event will feature three bands, eight burlesque acts, a cabaret raffle and wall-to-wall costumes to kick off the season to be jolly.

The riotous headline act, Tankus the Henge, draw on visual and musical influences from old time fairgrounds and modern day circus - from The Beatles to Tom Waites; from Gogol Bordello to Radiohead - to create a truly memorable visual and musical spectacular combining their south east London roots with New Orleans Mardi Gras. Getting the party started are Cardiff-based band Dirty Sparrows, who will be returning to the Queens Hall with their eclectic mix of funk, blues, hip hop, metal and soul.

Providing a touch of glamour will be a bevy of burlesque performers, including Miss Betty Blue Eyes and The Dolly D’Lites from Cardiff, and The Bay Belles from The Blue Stocking lounge nights in Swansea.

Making their big stage debut will be a brand new band featuring young people from the Pupil Referral Unit in Neyland who have been receiving music lessons from Span Arts tutors as part of the European Social Funded project, Reach the Heights.

With more surprises than a Christmas cracker, the event begins at 8pm, with doors opening at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £10 or £8 from Span Arts.
