Pupils and staff at Milford Haven School raised £8606.15 by holding a host of events, including a ‘big dip’ in icy water at Broad Haven, a ‘Stars in their Eyes’ talent show, and a dodge ball match against the teachers.

There were also versions of popular TV shows ‘Take Me Out’, ‘I’m a Celebrity Bush Tucker Trial’ and ‘Teachers’ Got Talent’.

Sixth Form students also sold cakes, sweets, held raffles and organised games and activities for the younger pupils.

Local businesses also got involved, giving a helping hand to the fundraising total.

Since 1998 the school has raised more than £200,000 for Children in Need through its annual programme of events.

A sponsored walk, welly-wanging competition, and talent show were just some of the activities enjoyed by pupils at Milford Haven Junior School.

Pupils pulled out all the stops for Pudsey, raising £2,800 for Children in Need, with a donation also being made to the Philippines Fund.

At Cleddau Reach VC Primary School, a grand total of £1157.86 was raised through pupils wearing fancy dress, making Pudsey badges, and taking part in a ‘dinosaur trail’ competition.

And Pudsey gained a few more pounds at Coastlands School, where children made cake pops and smoothies and took part in a ‘copper trail’ in the playground.
