SEVEN drivers have been charged with dangerous driving following a serious crash on one of Pembrokeshire's busiest roads in the summer.

On August 11, a serious collision happened on the A40 at Arnold's Hill, Haverfordwest.

The driver of a Seat Ibiza and two passengers sustained serious injuries in the collision.

As a result, seven other drivers who were in the vicinity were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and were bailed pending further police enquiries.

Yesterday (Sunday), on the advice of the Crown Prosecution Service, all seven drivers were charged with dangerous driving and bailed to appear at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on January 7, 2014.

Sgt Gary Jones said: “Officers in the Pembrokeshire Roads Policing Unit will not tolerate anti-social and dangerous driving on our roads.

"Such irresponsible actions place innocent motorists at risk of serious injury or even death. When incidents occur, officers in the unit will work tirelessly in order to bring those responsible to justice.”

The drivers - who are all men - are from the Milford Haven and Neyland areas.
