SINGERS with Neyland Ladies Choir are enjoying their freedom thanks to a donation from a former Milford Haven Mayor.

During Councillor Guy Woodham's year in office as Milford Haven town mayor, he held several events to fund raise so that at the end of his term in office he had monies to hand out to various organisations and charities.

He chose to donate £500 to the choir in recognition of the work that they had done for him during that year, and also in respect of the charity work they do locally.

The choir decided to buy themselves a a portable piano with the money, to enable them to perform in a range of venues where there was no full size electric piano.

Choir accompanist Peter Griffiths also received an award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to music within the community of Milford Haven.
