A REVIEW into the future of four Pembrokeshire County Council-run markets is to be discussed at a cabinet meeting next Monday (February 10).
In December cabinet approved a review into the markets at Haverfordwest, Tenby, Fishguard and Pembroke Dock.
A report by the council’s director of development will call on cabinet to defer the final report of the indoor markets until the end of March 2014.
It states: “The level of consultation requested locally for each market has varied considerably and is ongoing.
“This consultation, to date, has been very informative and it is clear that further consultation will be required before the review can be concluded.”
An ongoing consultation with traders, town teams, town councils, commercial organisations and the community is not expected to finish until the end of February.
