THE bottle bank at Marble Hall Football Club will soon be removed, following a review of recycling points by the county council.
A spokesman for the county council said the move was prompted by a drop in the number of people using the facility, following the introduction of kerbside glass collections.
She added: “In light of this, and in the interest of efficiency savings, we have undertaken a review of the usage of all community recycling points in Pembrokeshire. Those which have the lowest usage, which includes Marble Hall football club, are being removed.
“The nearest glass recycling bank is at Robert Street, which is a full recycling centre. There are no plans to remove any other bottle banks in Milford Haven.”
