James Williams Pembrokeshire League Division One soccer round-up: Goodwick United 3 - Hwest County 0.

STEVE Evans scored a goal in each half to help Goodwick overcome Haverfordwest County at a very wet Phoenix Park.

Conditions were awful, but both sides agreed very playable.

The visitors probably had the better of the opening exchanges until young striker struck the opener just five minutes before the interval.

James Dean's wicked 25 yarder was parried by keeper Martin John only for Evans to make no mistake from the rebound.

Around the 70th minute mark Evans was in the right place at the right time to score following a goalmouth scramble.

With the visitors heads down, the home side pounced for a third which was neatly tucked away by Ryan Thomas.

Goodwick boss Bernie Armstrong said: "The scoreline doesn't reflect how well Haverfordwest played.

"I'm delighted with the win, but my man-of-the-match today was Nigel Delaney.

"He revelled in these conditions at the back and didn't put a foot wrong."
