The deadline is fast approaching for Pembrokeshire County Council’s consultation into the future of education in the St Davids area and secondary education in the Haverfordwest area.
The preliminary consultation, which looks at multiple options for the way forward, will end on Monday, March 31st.
All comments must be received by 5pm on this date.
If you want to take part, you can read the consultation documents on Pembrokeshire County Council’s website and give your views at www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/haveyoursay
In particular, parents of children in primary schools which feed into secondary schools in Haverfordwest or St Davids are urged to make their views known.
This is the first phase of a three-part consultation on education provision in the St Davids area and secondary education in the Haverfordwest area.
Five public meetings have already taken place in St Davids, Fishguard and Haverfordwest, chaired by Councillor Huw George, Deputy Leader of Pembrokeshire County Council. The process (subject to Cabinet approval at each stage) consists of: preliminary consultation on multiple options, statutory consultation on the preferred option/s; and finally the publication of a statutory notice which outlines the Council’s decision.
• If you’d prefer to have a paper copy of the consultation document, you can request one by phoning the County Council’s contact centre on 01437 764551.
