POLICE in Milford Haven are investigating a report of a disability hate crime.

It is alleged that a young man with learning disabilities was chased and harassed by a group of young adults near Milford Haven School on Monday, March 31.

Speaking on Facebook, a concerned local resident said: "A young man with a learning disability was running past the Milford Comp as pupils were leaving.

“He was verbally abused and chased along Steynton Road, crossing twice to try to get away from his pursuers. They chased him as far as Marble Hall, harassing him and taking photos. I saw cars stop, not to help, but to take photos.”

The resident added: "He was abused again tonight by a group of young adults in a small grey car. I urge that if you know these people, please speak to them and let them know that this behaviour is not acceptable.

"Vulnerable people in Milford deserve to be treated with respect."

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman said: “Police can confirm that they have received a report of the incident and are investigating.”
