MORE than 1,000 people enjoyed a day out on the Rath on Saturday, as part of Milford Haven Round Table’s annual family fun day.

Bart and Homer Simpson were among the special guests in attendance, along with the Whoopsa and Daisy clown show, a magician and a facepainter.

Events included a range of circus games, fun competitions and bouncy castles, and there were plenty of delicious treats on offer for hungry mums and dads too.

Carnival secretary Martin Wilcox said the highlight of the day was seeing outgoing chairman Ralph Rees receive “grateful thanks” for his year at the top with a custard pie to the face.

The Round Table’s next event is the crowning of the Carnival Queen, which takes place this Saturday, May 10, from 2pm to 4pm at the Pill Social Centre.

Girls under-12 are welcome to enter, to be in with a chance of representing the town at the carnival in July.
