A CLUB helping deaf and hearing impaired people meet friends and socialise has celebrated its first birthday.
Pembrokeshire Sign and Share Club, set up one year ago, now has more than 50 members. A birthday outing to the National Botanic Gardens of Wales on May 2 was a lovely start to the second year and the club will hold its first AGM on Friday, June 6.
The AGM is from noon until 3pm at the Johnston Institute in Johnston, with a buffet lunch and assertiveness session included. Anyone interested is welcome to attend the AGM. £3 for members £6 for non-members.
Membership is open to anyone who is deaf, deaf blind, or hard of hearing and to parents of deaf children.
A summer club for deaf children is planned for August 11 to 15, from noon until 4pm each day.
