Work has started on the long-awaiting Bulford Road improvement scheme in Johnston.
The £8 million project – jointly funded by Pembrokeshire County Council and the Welsh Government (WEFO) - upgrades the busy single-track link road between Johnston and Tiers Cross.
It will also reduce the number of heavy lorries driving through Milford town centre.
The first sod was ceremoniously cut on Friday (6th June) by the County Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Transportation, Councillor Rob Lewis.
He said the upgrade was important for the health of the local economy.
The contractor is Alun Griffiths Limited and work will last around 12 months.
