A GROUP of young people have given up their time to help clean up Milford Haven.

MY Time volunteers filled three bin bags and two boxes of glass by tidying up a pathway near Milford Haven on Monday, August 4, which will used by cruise ship passengers visiting the town this month.

This clean-up was one of many that MY Time volunteers have taken part in. Other activities have included organising a family fun day, painting a local park and volunteering at Fish Week.

MY Time is a volunteering scheme for 16-25 year olds in Milford Haven facilitated by Milford Youth Matters and Pembrokeshire Youth.

It is a way for young people to develop skills, meet new people, and take an active role in improving the community.

And for every 20 hours spent helping the community, volunteers receive a £20 voucher, which can be spent in Milford Haven.

MY Time is funded by Milford Haven Port Authority, and supported by Milford Haven Business Circle and the other local businesses that have agreed to accept the vouchers.

If you are aged between 16 and 25, from Milford Haven and would like to get involved in volunteering in the community please contact Nick Hudd or Sian Jones on 01646 697967 to sign up to MY Time.
