Motorists due to cross the Cleddau Bridge tonight (Wednesday) or tomorrow are advised to check first whether the Bridge is open or not, because of the very windy weather being forecast for Pembrokeshire.

There is a possibility of full bridge closures both this evening (8pm-10pm) and tomorrow (Thursday) anytime between 11am and 6pm.

Even if the bridge is not closed fully tomorrow, it is likely that the bridge will be closed to high sided vehicles for a large proportion of the day.

The MET Office has forecast that winds will strengthen to gale force in Pembrokeshire through the evening.

They have issued a Yellow weather warning for rain, wind and ice today, and for wind and rain tomorrow.

Gusts reaching up to 80mph are expected overnight and up to 70mph tomorrow.
