‘EVERYTHING in moderation’ and ‘hard work never hurt anyone’ are the mottos of Milford Haven’s latest centenarian.
Mrs Winifred Bazanowski recently celebrated her 100th birthday, with a card from the Queen and flowers and gifts from family and friends.
Born Winifred Edith Davis in Brentford, Essex, she first came to Milford Haven on holiday.
She met and married her first husband “Curly” Frost and stayed.
Curly was lost at sea at the end of the Second World War, and she later married Ted Bazanowski.
She enjoyed her trips to Poland with Ted to visit his family and the many places they visited, and is an avid reader.
Sadly Ted died in 2000, but Mrs Bazanowski’s family is still her priority.
She has three daughters - Carol, Anne and Vanda - five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
She would like to thank everyone for their generosity and for making her birthday very special.
