ST FRANCIS School in Milford Haven has had s of success this half term with Welsh.
Pupils enjoyed a writing workshop at Hakin youth centre, with the work they produced being entered into the regional Urdd competition.
Rebecca Whitwham was awarded a first prize, and in joint second place were head girl Keala Arnopp-Cleevely and school council member Neve Harper.
The school was the only one in Milford Haven to be placed in the competition, and did well to beat off competition from Welsh language schools.
Their work will now go on to the National Eisteddfod in Cardiff.
The school has also achieved success in Art and Design. In the 2D category of the Urdd competition St.Francis came second for its collage in the theme of ‘growing and thriving’.
And in the individual art work category, Keala came third place out of the whole county with her season work.
