MR JOHN McCool, the head of law, health, and social administration at
Bell College of Technology in Hamilton, has died suddenly at the age of
51.
A major contributor to the development of the college since its
opening in 1972, he recently pioneered the establishment of degree
courses in police studies and nursing.
A graduate of Strathclyde University, his lecturing career began at
Coatbridge Technical College.
Mr McCool is survived by his wife, Clare, two daughters, and a son.
