BOGOTA: A senator from Colombia's ruling Liberal party died yesterday
of gunshot wounds after an attack that has prompted the government to
bolster security for candidates in next year's presidential elections.
The Medellin clinic where doctors tried to save the life of Dario
Londono Cardona said the politician died of wounds suffered in the
attack.
