HAVANA: Five British doctors have arrived in Cuba to help authorities
there identify the causes of a mysterious nerve disease that has
afflicted nearly 50,000 people on the island, the British embassy said
yesterday. The visit of the five specialists, who flew into Havana on
Sunday night, is being funded by the British Government as humanitarian
assistance and is co-ordinated through the World Health Organisation, an
embassy spokesman said.
