FANTASTIC cash prizes are on offer for anyone submitting a float to this year's Milford Haven Carnival.

One of the highlights of the town's calendar, the annual carnival is organised by the town's Round Table group, and attracts visitors from around the county.

This year's music-themed event will take place on Saturday, July 4, and see the streets filled with song, dance and fun.

An afternoon of live music, food and games will follow at the Pill playing fields.

A whopping £500 is up for grabs for the winning float, with every float entering bagging £100 for their troubles, so there's no excuse not to get involved!

Round Table chairman Martin Wilcox said: "Milford Haven Carnival has become the largest, highest quality carnival event in the county and continues to buck

the trend of declining carnival processions and community spirit.

"It attracts people to our town from far and wide every year and really puts us on the map.

"It’s fantastic that we are able to show the community spirit of our town is still alive and well.

"We really hope people will support this year’s event and enter their street, group, club or business into the procession or at the very least come to watch and enjoy the fun."
