A HOSPITAL worker from Milford Haven will be flying the flag for Withybush Hospital this weekend, when he takes part in the Bungee of the Bridge event.

Twenty-nine-year-old orthopaedic practitioner Steven White will jumping off the Cleddau Bridge as part of the fundraising event, which takes place this Saturday and Sunday (September 26 and 27).

He will be raising money for five-year-old Elly Neville’s Ward 10 Flag fund, which has seen the youngster travel the length and breadth of the county to raise awareness and funds for the cancer ward.

“I've always wanted to do a bungee jump and I think living in Pembrokeshire have always been curious of what it would be like if you jumped off the Cleddau Bridge,” said Steven, who admits 'not being great with heights'.

"I picked the Ward 10 Flag fund because Withybush needs all the help it can get.

"Elly and her mum Ann are also doing an amazing job raising funds.

"Plus working there, I couldn't really have done it for anyone else.

“Every penny of your donation will go to help improve facilities and aid the comfort for those going through cancer and end of life care.

“If you could part with any money to help with this really good cause, I will forever be grateful.”
