CLUE: Pembrokeshire County Councillor who seemed more interested in a crossword than a recent council meeting (7,6).
ANSWER: Stanley Hudson.
Cllr Hudson, who represents Milford North, was called in to be a replacement member for Tuesday’s meeting of the county planning committee.
But rather than diving into the planning matters at hand, Cllr Hudson was seen pulling a crossword from his folder.
While he did not write any answers down he pondered over at it for minutes at a time before putting it away.
Asked to comment, Cllr Hudson explained he got the crossword out when the committee was discussing applications which had involved site visits, which he had not attended.
“That’s all I have to say on the matter,” he said.
He also abstained when those votes took place.
