THE Union Flag was flying across Milford Haven this weekend, as friends, family and community groups got together to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.
On Saturday, a special tea party took place at Thornton Village Hall, with guests resplendent in their fancy hats.
There were prizes for the fanciest outfits at St Katharine and St Peter’s Church hall on Sunday too, as around 100 people of all ages gathered together for a ‘Champers and Hampers’ event.
Later that day, the Mayor of Milford Haven, Cllr William Elliott, unveiled a new tree at the memorial gardens, planted to mark the occasion.
And there was fun in the sun at the Royal British Legion Club, as families enjoyed music, facepainting and tasty treats.
Parties were also held at the Meads and St Francis’ schools, and Ruth McLean of Milford Haven threw a vintage tea party for family and friends, with plenty of cake and Prosecco to go toast Her Majesty’s landmark birthday.
A special performance of 'We Will Rock You' was among the activities on offer for little ones at Happy Days nursery in Milford.
Children enjoyed crafting their own crowns and birthday cards, and planted a rose bush to mark the day.
