LLOYDS bank in Milford Haven will only be open four days a week from September 1.
It has been confirmed the branch, on Hamilton Terrace, will close on Thursdays from next month.
The move follows news last week that the firm is to axe 3,000 jobs and close 200 branches nationwide.
A spokesman for the branch said the move would not result in any local job losses, with staff being deployed to other branches in the county when required.
António Horta-Osório, Lloyds’s chief executive, said the use of over-counter services had fallen by 15 per cent year on year as more people moved to online banking.
Branch opening hours from September will be 9am to 4.30pm Monday, Tuesday and Friday, and 9.30am to 4pm Wednesday.
The Pembroke branch closed in July due to a lack of use.
