A 22 year old man charged over an incident that left four police officers needing hospital treatment has been remanded into custody.
The officers were attacked by two dogs said to belong to Charles Jones of Goat Street, Haverfordwest, as they conducted inquiries at his address on Saturday (October 1), magistrates were told today (Monday).
Jones has been charged with being the owner of the two “dangerously out of control” animals that injured PC Griffiths, PC Howells, PC Robb and PC Thomas.
It is alleged Jones assaulted two of the officers, and threatened to use a firearm - namely a police issue Taser he had managed to gain control of – in order to resist his arrest.
Charges relating to the Class A drug MDMA and a quantity of cash have also been brought.
Appearing before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Monday (October 3), Jones entered no pleas to seven charges.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Swansea Crown Court for an initial hearing on November 4.
