EVENTS to mark Remembrance Sunday will take place in Milford Haven and Neyland this weekend.

On Friday, November 11, Milford Haven town band will host a concert at St Katharine and St Peter's Church at 7.30pm.

Tickets will be £5, with concession tickets at £3.

Two minute's silence will also be held at the Memorial Gardens at 11am on Friday (meeting at 10.45am), instead of the usual Charles Street service.

A memorial bench, donated by Milford Haven Town Council, will be unveiled, dedicated to the local men who lost their lives in armed conflict.

The town's Remembrance Parade will meet at the Town Hall on Sunday, November 13, at 10.40am, with a service at the war memorial on Hamilton Terrace.

St Katharine’s Church will also be lit up red for the weekend from Friday, as part of the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

In Neyland, the parade will meet at the council office on High Street at 2pm on Sunday, with a service at the war memorial at 2.15pm, conducted by Rev Alan Chadwick.

After the service, the parade will return to the Neyland Athletic Club for light refreshments.

Organisations in Neyland and Llanstadwell wishing to collect their poppy wreaths can do so from the council offices on Saturday morning.

A service will also be held at 11am on Friday at the Cenotaph, with pupils from Neyland Community School attending.

A warm welcome is extended to all.

A dedication of the cross service was also held in the Memorial Gardens in Milford Haven on Sunday, November 6.
