POLICE want to speak to the owner of a "dangerously out of control" dog that bit a woman's thigh on New Year's Day.

The attack happened between Water Street and the Junction of Springfield Avenue, Neyland, at around 1.50pm.

The dog, an orange-brown and white adult border collie sheep dog, was being walked on a lead near Kensington Road.

The animal came at the victim from behind, and bit her upper leg.

A man in his 40s, who was walking the dog, is believed to have apologised at the time, but police would like to speak to him.

He is described as about 5'7'', of medium build, with short, shaven hair, and was holding a white and yellow plastic carrier bag in his right hand.

Anyone with information should contact Milford Haven Police Station on 101.
