THE search is on for the UK’s best pubs and bars.

Celebrating the best watering holes across the county, the National Pub & Bar Awards 2017 seeks to crown a local winner in every county in the UK.

The 94 county winners will be named at a red carpet ceremony in May, before going on to compete for the overall UK title.

Nominees can be run by a single-site operator, part of a leased or tenanted estate or part of a managed group.

They will be judged on everything from interior design to outside space, hospitality, customer service, and - of course - menu.

Last year the Stackpole Inn was named Dyfed's top tavern, but missed out on the overall title, claimed by The Church Inn of Mobberley, in Knutsford.

Church Inn owner Tim Bird said being named best British pub gave trade a fantastic boost.

The entry deadline is March 17.
