CARNIVAL-lovers are being asked to get involved, to ensure Neyland has a carnival in 2017.

The mayor of Neyland, Cllr Simon Hancock, is holding a meeting at the council offices on High Street on Monday, March 13, at 7pm.

He is inviting everyone from the local community to attend, to discuss holding a carnival in the town in July.

"We in Neyland have always enjoyed our carnivals which have often been the best seen in Pembrokeshire.

"This is a tradition which goes back many decades.

"The carnival was resurrected in 2014 and the last three years have been a tremendous success.

"In this the work of the RAOB cannot be overstated.

"I am inviting people from the community to attend and contribute to helping to organise what in many respects is the highlight of the community calendar."
