SOROPTIMIST International Milford Haven are looking forward to another fruitful and fun year.
The group held its AGM on Tuesday, April 11, at the Crow's Nest, Milford Marina.
Members looked back over a successful year, in which they raised £720 for Breast Cancer Now and the Wales Air Ambulance by holding a fashion show at Image by Vanessa on Milford Marina.
Throughout the year donations have also been made to St Katharine's Church, Milford Haven Brownies and the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The club also continued to support Ngwino Nawe Special School in Rwanda, Morning Star Orphanage in Kathmandu, helped several women through the Lend With Care scheme, and also bought a block of toilets and several separate toilets under the Toilet Twinning Scheme (toilettwinning.org).
Two ladies will again share the Presidency this year, with their theme for year being 'think locally, act globally'.
They aim to raise money for local charities as well as supporting the international aims and objectives of Soroptimism.
