DANCERS, singers, bands - and even a ventriloquist - have already signed up to take part in the Milford Mercury's autumn talent show.

The charity contest, once again be raising money for the Paul Sartori Foundation, will take place over three nights in October.

More than 20 acts and soloists will get a chance to perform on stage to a live audience of friends, family and the community, across two nights.

The best acts, as picked by our panel of esteemed judges, will then go on to compete in a live final, with cash prizes up for grabs for the winners.

Amazing raffle prizes will also be up for grabs, including tickets to Folly Farm, Blue Lagoon, Pembroke Castle, Carew Castle and Castell Henllys, signed Betsy CD, lyrics and merchandise, Stena Line tickets, photoshoot vouchers, martial arts training and membership, meat vouchers, art, toiletries, shopping and holistic treatment vouchers, flowers and wine, plus lots more.

In previous years, the show has raised £10,000 for Paul Sartori, and West End star Connie Fisher was among the talented locals taking part.

The singer, who became a household name after winning the role of Maria in The Sound of Music, said performing locally helped spur her on to new challenges.

"The Mercury talent show was a brilliant opportunity for me to sing popular music, which was something I wasn’t that confident doing at that time," she said.

"It's always a brave thing to perform on stage, but it’s a wonderful chance to say 'here I am', and everyone should go for it."

The live shows will take place at the Pill Social Centre, Milford Haven, on Friday, October 13, and October 20, followed by a live final on Friday, October 27.
