A MILFORD Haven housing estate has undergone a clean-up.
Howarth Close residents of all ages joined forces with staff from Pembrokeshire County Council staff on Thursday and collected 30 bags of rubbish.
The day was organised in response to a long-running issue with litter on the estate.
On site and able to offer advice were officers from the County Council’s housing, pest control and recycling departments while a bulky items collection was also available.
Besides the County Council, other organisations taking part were the local policing team, a fire crew and a representative of PAVS (Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services).
Helping with the clean-up was local county councillor Rhys Sinnett, Mayor of Milford Haven Cllr Colin Sharp and town councillor Terry Davies.
Keep Wales Tidy donated all the litter-picking equipment including red bags, hi-vis vests and gloves.
The litter-pick was followed by a free lunch for all the volunteers and a play session run by Groundwork Wales for local children in the afternoon.
