A 45-foot yacht sunk off the Pembrokeshire coast in the early hours, after breaking free from its moorings.
The vessell had been moored at Dale, but 60mph winds saw it break from its moorings and get carried around the coast to Great Castle Head near St Ishmaels.
An emergency alert signal was picked up by HM Coastguard at around 1.40am this morning.
After hitting rocks, the blue and white boat was destroyed and sank.
A Coastguard spokesman said the owners were aware of the incident.
The Port of Milford Haven said the pilot boat St Davids attended to assist the RNLI and coastguard in recovering debris.
There were no reports of any injuries and shipping was unaffected.
Elsewhere in Pembrokeshire, two trees were brought down by strong winds in Cosheston.
The Cleddau Bridge was also closed to all vehicles between 11.45pm and remained close to all traffic until 1.10am.
It was closed to high-sided vehicles earlier in the evening (at 8.35pm) but has now re-opened to high-sided vehicles.
