A NEYLAND service station has clocked up an award at ‘the Oscars of the petrol retailing’ world.
Crossways Service Station, the Gulf-branded forecourt on Haven Bridge Road was shortlisted at the Forecourt Trader of the Year Awards.
All 8,500 UK forecourts – whether rural or urban, high volume or lower volume – were given the chance to shine and show why they should be considered for the industry’s top accolade.
Welcoming and well-maintained facilities, cleanliness, tidiness, a well-stocked and merchandised store, as well as friendly and helpful staff, were key elements for consideration.
Crossways took home the prize in the ‘West Country & Wales up to 4mlpa’ category.
All of the winners were announced at the London Hilton on Park Lane on September 14, where finalists and industry experts gathered for one of the forecourt industry’s most prestigious annual events.
Site manager Jessica King collected the award from Mylene Klass, and even managed to grab an on-stage selfie with 800 guests in the background.
