COMEDIAN Mark Watson has postponed a performance in Milford Haven this Friday (January 26).

The thoughtful funnyman has contacted fans, who were due to watch his latest show at the Torch Theatre this week.

In an email to ticket holders, he said: "You were meant to be coming to see my show in the next couple of weeks, and I've been looking forward to it.

"But I've got a long-term filming commitment and in the past 48 hours I've heard that the dates are changing, with almost zero notice.

"This means that I have to be out of the country on what was meant to be the show day, and so with great reluctance I'm having to reschedule the show.

"I almost never do this sort of thing because I don't like inconveniencing people, or letting them down, when they're kind enough to come and see me live.

"I very much appreciate that support, and that's why I am trying to write personally to everyone affected.

"It's just that in this instance it's been sprung on me, and there's not very much I can do about it."

Watson has rescheduled his appearance as part of the 'M or W tour' - which sees him travel only to towns whose names begin with M or W - for February 9.

"With a bit of luck you'll be able to make that," he said.

"If it's impossible, the venue will naturally refund your tickets and I'll hope to see you some other time.

"Thank you again for your custom and I look forward to entertaining you (trying to, at least) very soon."
