FIVE gold, five bronze and four silver awards were clocked up by Milford Haven Junior Town Band at a recent competition in Burry Port.
On January 27, 30 members of the junior band took part in a solo and ensemble day.
Twelve band members played solos and came away with five bronze awards, four silver awards and three gold awards.
Two bands competed, a 14 and under band and the full junior town band, and came away with two gold awards, a certificate for the best overall youth band and ensemble and the most promising youth band, along with two trophies.
Sara Llewellyn gave a tremendous performance of Czardas on xylophone.
She was named best under-16 and received the Tim Bourne memorial award trophy.
Dylan Sanders-Swales won the most promising under-12 section.
It was a fantastic day and band leader Bron Parratt thanked all players and supporters for their hard work.
