A HARPIST who has played for members of the Royal Family will join a local choir for a celebration of Welsh life.

Isabel Harries, originally from Milford Haven, now lives in London, and has performed at the Royal Albert Hall and venues across the UK.

Isabel will join members of the Christ Church choir for a St David's Day fundraising concert on Saturday, March 3.

"We are very honoured to have Isabel with us as she is such a very busy professional lady, and to accept our invitation we are deeply grateful," said Peter Griffiths, event organiser.

"Isabel lives in London and is a private teacher of the harp and piano. She also provides beautiful harp music at wedding functions and special events throughout London. Isabel has played in major venues across the UK, including the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Cadagon Hall, Wigmore Hall and the Bridgewater Hall.

"She has played for several members of the Royal family and many othe VIPs."

All money raised at this special event will be shared between the Church and the Rotary Club and its charities.

As well as beautiful music and song, there will be a Welsh-themed meal of tasty cawl, bread, cheese, bara brith and Welsh cakes to enjoy in the church hall afterwards.

Tickets are £10, and are available from Pauline Mayne on 07800 919483 or 01646 693835.

The concert starts at 4pm on Saturday, March 3.
