ENERGY firm Egnedol has been given more time to submit details to the Welsh Government on its Blackbridge biomass plans.

The Planning Inspectorate has written to the firm with regards to its proposals for the former RNAD site in Milford Haven.

The firm's application to build a 49.9 megawatt biomass facility has been suspended, meaning a final decision cannot me made for at least 17 weeks - taking us up to May 23.

During this period, Egnedol has been asked to submit its finalised "Environmental Information and Habitats Regulations Assessment incorporating any proposed mitigation measures”.

A 21-day publication period will then take place, starting on April 12.

Between Monday, May 14, and Wednesday, May 23, the Planning Inspector will then review Egnedol's submitted information, and any comments on it provided by other parties during the publicity period.

The Inspector can then determine the next steps, if any, in the determination process.

It can also shorten, extend or quash the suspension if it considers it to be appropriate.
