BURTON Friends of Ty Hafan recently held a Charity Lunch at Crug Glas Country House Hotel and Cowshed near St Davids.

The event was a huge success raising £3,000 on the day.

The committee was overwhelmed when the amount raised was match funded by Gareth Hughes Motors and SEAT cars Sardis giving a grand total of £6,000.

Burton Friends were very privileged to have two special guests attend their lunch, Shelley Kirkham, the Regional Fundraising manager and Rob Jones, the Chief Executive of Ty Hafan, who spoke movingly about the work Ty Hafan do.

Rob then presented Burton Friends with an original framed piece of wheelchair art, this will be placed in the Hotel Mariners where the committee meet and hold their annual Coffee Morning.

The members were very touched by this special gift.

Thanks go to everyone involved on the day, Janet and Perkin Evans of Crug Glas for their generous support, everyone who attended the event and to individual donors.
