FOLLOWING the overnight snow and freezing rain, conditions in Pembrokeshire are treacherous this morning.

Drifting on roads makes driving dangerous.

There is widespread ice on untreated roads and pavements, and any travel will be potentially dangerous.

9.35am

The Argyle Medical Group based in Pembroke Dock has posted on their Facebook page to say that they are unable to ensure everyone will be seen for routine appointments today.

The group's home visit service will also be limited.

10.02am

Manchester Square Health Centre in Milford Haven is open as usual today, although those with routine appointments are advised to reschedule if possible.

10.24am

First Cymru's 349, 356 and 348 services to Tenby, Neyland, Pembroke Dock, Monkton and Johnston are NOT running today.

This is due to awful conditions in Neyland, and being unable to pass through Sentry Cross.

The 302 service between Haverfordwest and Hubberston is now running, but will travel along Hamilton Terrace, terminating at Tesco.

The service is expected to keep running until between 3pm and 5pm, when it starts getting dark.

A spokesman was unable to say whether buses will be running tomorrow, as refreezing of ice is currently making most roads dangerous to drive on.

A yellow weather warning remains in place across the county.

Pembrokeshire county council has said drifting and ice are posing a problem.

"We hope to start looking at secondary routes and minor roads later," said a spokesman.

"We have issues with icy conditions as temperatures staying around or below freezing so minimal thaw.

"We have started to send teams to clear and salt pavements and pathways in Tenby, Saundersfoot, Narberth, Milford, Neyland areas and we are trying to get to other problematic areas such as Fishguard and Goodwick."

The main Pembrokeshire County Council switchboard (tel. no. 01437 764551) is open to emergency calls only as it is being manned by a skeleton staff.

The public are asked to defer non-emergency calls to Monday.
