THE future of St Ishmaels memorial hall be under the spotlight at a meeting on Monday, April 9.

The Hall, which was built almost 100 years ago, is in poor condition, and not widely used.

The community council has been considering the options for its future, and has come to the conclusion that disposing of it may be the only path.

A spokesman said the council had "regrettably concluded that there are no sustainable or viable options that would justify the very considerable cost of refurbishing and maintaining the hall to an acceptable standard".

"It has therefore concluded that disposal must be considered as a serious option."

Locals are invited to share their ideas and thoughts about the hall's sustainability at a review meeting at the hall at 7pm.

All interested parties are welcome to attend.
