LOCAL fishermen are asking the public to come out and support them in Milford Haven this Sunday.
Organised by 14-year-old Rhys Wonnacott, the protest will involve a number of local vessells, and those from outside the area.
Rhys comes from a long line of fishermen - his father has been a fisherman all his life, as was his grandfather and great grandfather.
The teenager wants to be a commercial fisherman when he leaves school, but is concerned that Government policy is not working to support the industry.
He is also concerned that potential changes post-Brexit will further impact his career hopes.
"I am organising this protest at Milford Haven, alongside protests taking place up and down the country, to show the anger and disappointment of the UK commercial fishing industry," said Rhys.
The protest will take place between 10am and 2pm at Milford Marina.
Members of the public are invited to attend the waterside or the Rath to show their support for an industry synonymous with Milford Haven's history.
