Fishermen in Milford Haven staged a protest opposing concessions made to the EU by the UK government this morning.
Theresa May’s government has agreed to maintain much of the European Union’s Common Fisheries Policy ahead of Brexit, meaning fishermen from EU countries will continue to be granted access to British waters after the UK leaves the EU in March 2019.
UK fishermen had hoped Brexit would see a lifting of fishing quotas for home-based vessels and stricter limits imposed on those from EU countries.
