THE big hats, best dresses and sharpest suits were on show when several Pembrokeshire residents visited Buckingham Palace this week.

On Tuesday, June 5, representatives of the Paul Sartori Foundation, St Davids RNLI and local health campaigners enjoyed an afternoon of cream teas in London.

The party was hosted by Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall and Princess Anne.

Among them were St Davids RNLI deputy coxswain Robin Copley and his wife Rachel, who were part of a group of RNLI volunteers who attended.

The couple also met the Duke of Kent, who is President of the RNLI.

Withybush Hospital campaigners David and Elaine Williams looked regal in co-ordinated purple as they sampled the royal cucumber sandwiches.

And Paul Sartori manager Sandra Dade was joined by the charity's longest serving nurse Elaine Lane for the occasion.
