A SUMMER ladies' night has raised more than £1,200 for the Paul Sartori Foundation.

After months of preparation, the charity's volunteers welcomed guests to their Neyland store on June 6.

The event, which happens twice a year, allows bargain hunters to snap up some of the designer brands on offer, some of which have never been worn.

The invitation-only experience was well-supported, and raised an amazing £1,277.35 for the hospice at home charity.

Maggie John said she and the other volunteers at Sartori’s Neyland shop had a wonderful evening.

“I love these evenings – it is wonderful to see everybody," she said.

"The atmosphere is very special - I look forward to them from the moment I start planning and putting quality items away.

"All the volunteers like to get involved and a lot of time goes in to preparing for the event, but it is worth it.

"I can’t wait for the next one."

She added: “We have a great community spirit in the Neyland as well and it was great to see so many locals out supporting Paul Sartori."
